Store and cashier security is a an important feature in a POS system and a major concern for retailers. LOC Store Management Suite offers many options to maximize store security. Biometric, which is a feature that provides cashier, managerial and customer recognition; Webcam Interface at the POS will record transactions based on selected criteria and a Digital Video Recorder which can be set up in every lane; and the Electronic Journal which is an essential tool that keeps track of all transactions in a control and a lost prevention purpose.

Access/Limits

LOC Store Management Suite adds additional security by limiting access to cashiers and operators. By blocking access to cashiers, it adds additional protection for managers to validate cashier transactions. Managers have access cards with a number that is confidential and may not be used by store personnel. This added protection blocks all refunds by cashiers and more control by managers.

Digital Video Recorder (DVR)

With LOC Store Management Suite's Digital Video Recorder Interface, retailers can monitor real time cashier activities from the cameras from the back office computer. The DVR Interface is designed to overlay the lined item on top of the video image as seen on the image beside. A camera can be set up  on every lane which will allow for a more rigorous supervision. All lane activities can be viewed on one screen.

The  DVR Interface and electronic journal fully integrates with a video system for providing real-time monitoring of cashier activities, while ensuring a complete control on pre-recorded events and transactions by date and time.

Electronic Journal

The electronic journal is an essential tool which keeps track of transactions in a control and lost prevention purpose. The LOC Store Management Suite's Electronic Journal is available in XML format, so you can search, report and even export information easily. Every key stroke of the operator is kept for reference. Multiple reports and query functions are available, and enhanced options are added on a regular basis.

Biometric

LOC Store Management Suite offers a fingerprint technology which guarantees maximum security. The fingerprint authentication in our Biometric Module prevents retailers and managers to worry about card losses or keyed password disclosure.

The Biometric reader may be used to protect customer's files. Customers simply have to put their finger on the reader and the file is automatically retrieved. Customer files may also be protected with a password, so the file may be retrieved via their loyalty card and the accessed through fingerprint authentication. Security on charge accounts and check validation are two main features being addressed with this new technology.

Webcam Interface

LOC Store Management Suite's webcam interface allows it's users to record transactions, take a picture of a customer, or capture a message from a customer. By simply pressing a button directly from the POS, it will start recording the current transaction, the video feed will be attached to the transaction so it can be retrieved for future reference.
